Tash Sultana at Festival of the Sun

I’ve had a huge couple of weeks with a bunch of great shoots as well as some pretty exciting hands-on work on our straw bale house build, so I couldn’t wait to let loose at Festival of the Sun this weekend, in Port Macquarie.

Imagine a music festival right next to the beach, full of gorgeous people wearing little more than bikinis and sunnies. Throw in some of my favourite bands and loads of sunshine. Make it BYO and you’re in for a good time. I met so many awesome people and danced till I couldn’t stand up. See the BTS pics at the bottom 🙂

Tash Sultana is a self-taught musician from Melbourne who rocks out on more instruments than I can count. She sells out all her shows and is absolutely killing it both in Australia and around the world. Check out her Youtube bedroom performance below.

I photographed Tash’s set at FotSun and was mesmerised by her massive energy. When you are in the midst of someone doing what they were put on the earth to do, who is beaming with life and exploding with enthusiasm, it’s impossible to look away.

I’ll be honest – I got caught up in the moment. There in front of Tash Sultana, life seemed limitless, anything seemed possible and boundaries disappeared. As she performed her multi-layered songs, I stood there in awe and fell in love with life all over again.
